Mountainscape was painted a bit before I left Alaska when I was blossoming as a painter and began to explore landscapes outside of my base abstraction theme.

I questioned what elements of an image led someone to understand that it was a landscape. I will continue to pursue this in future pieces, so this work is an important pre-requisite to an expansion of this idea.

This piece will bring a sense of curiosity and questioning to a space, and above all Hope, because underlying every question is secretly the force of hope.
